Our Community Is What Drives Us
Ken Dudley has been a visible and viable member of the Greene County community for many years. His involvements are varied and his achievements have been recognized by many organizations.
In past years Ken has served as Kiwanis Club member, a member of the Greenville Central School Board of Education. He has been honored as Business Man Of the Year by Greene County Commerce.
As the successful Business owner of Tip Top Furniture Ken also served as a Greene County Legislator for many years, working for his constituents to make sure their voices were heard.
In most recent years Ken has been, and still serves as, President of the Michael J Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre, Inc., an organization dedicated to educating people about Irish heritage, arts and culture, through its programs held throughout the year. He is the Innovator and Creator of The Irish Village Project, which includes the Irish Park located on the Quill grounds. Ken also spearheaded the Donegal Cottage Project which saw an authentic Irish Cottage shipped to East Durham and re-constructed on site.
He also was instrumental in the creation of the Irish Park Brick Project, which enables people to purchase a brick in the park and have it engraved and placed in the Irish County of their choice. A map of Ireland completely constructed of these bricks, each County proudly flies a flag on flagpoles that have been sponsored through Ken’s efforts.
In addition to being the creator of the 9/11 Memorial that quietly stands on the MJQ Centre grounds, Ken has tirelessly worked on introducing new businesses to the community to boost the local economy and create new jobs for local residents.
He is currently working with Kincaid Furniture and Habitat for Humanity donating a portion of sales made from the Home Coming Collection.
Ken is also working with Community Action of Greene County to re-purpose removed furniture.
All of the projects listed above have become realities as a result of Ken Dudley’s vision, determination and hard work.
